Austin is still weird, and....sexy?

Even with awesome Austin places closing left and right, Austin is still a little weird.

For instance, Tim and Eric are stopping at The Paramount for their tour this year. If those guys aren't weird, I don't know what is. Tickets go on sale this Friday, they're $30, and the show is November 13th at 8pm. Great Job!

Did you know that there is a Unicycle Football League? Our team, Hell on Wheel, is the only team based in Austin and is currently recruiting. Currently, the games are played in San Marcos, but maybe as Austin gets more teams, we'll have a couple games here. I plan on making a day out of it sometime soon. There are two games this Sunday, one at 3pm and one at 5pm. Admission to all the games is free, BYOB is encouraged, and there's a half-time show with a clown. That's what life should be like.

To balance out your weirdness, but still stay a little quirky, check out the YOGASM 2010: Show Us Your Om Face, October 7th, 4pm, at Republic Square Park. Besides doing yoga outdoors for 90 minutes with a thousand of your closest friends, there will be live music, local art and food, free Kombucha, drum circles and hula hoops. After your yoga class at 6:30pm, stick around for MC Yogi's first ever Austin show, at 8:30pm. These yogis know how to party.

According to the latest issue of Men's Health, we are number one on the list of America's Hotbeds of Sex. Nothing like being the drunkest, weirdest, and sexiest people in the US! Good job city.

Well, I'm off to Terror Tuesday, one of my favorite local weirdfests.
